As part of the COVID leadership team, Mr. Odongo manages program development and execution. He safeguards successful team performance, coordinating AM TRACE and teaming partners’ COVID-19 mitigation efforts.
Mr. Odongo has over a decade of experience in patient and community healthcare operations. He has 8 years of U.S. Navy active duty service, most of which were in fast-paced, agile public health and disaster relief leadership roles. He served as project manager in epidemiology, environmental and occupational health divisions on both ashore and abroad assignments. Mr. Odongo has also worked at World Health Organization’s (WHO) Global Influenza Programme Department in Geneva, Switzerland. During his time at WHO, he analyzed and reported data, reviewed data utility platforms and helped create a country-level data reporting tool.
Mr. Odongo has a Masters of Public Health degree from Dartmouth College and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Maryland. He is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and a Dartmouth College Global Health Fellow.
